Block Play: Add Paper to Your Block Center

One day my students asked me if they could have construction paper in the block center. They used the paper to enhance a rocket ship they had built with the large hollow blocks. I decided to place a bucket of construction paper in the block center to see what they would create, and they came up with lots of creative ideas. The children brought tape and scissors from the art center as needed.

    Love all your ideas, I my self is a pre school teacher, lately I am not working taking care of my grand children,but I do practice all the creative things with them.thanks for sharing.

    Do you leave all of these things in your block center all of the time, or do you switch it out?

      The paper and tape is just there for maybe a month, but it could stay all year if you wanted to.
