This is a game that can be played during large group time.
Print out these pet insert cards for pocket dice. Choose one of the pet cards to insert into one pocket of a die, and fill the other pockets with alphabet cards or math cards (numbers, shapes, dots) or color cards. Seat children in a big circle and have them take turns rolling the die. If the die lands with the animal at the top, the group will make that animal’s sound or move like that animal. For example, they will bark like dog, meow like a cat, tweet like a bird, or hop like a rabbit. If you are playing the game with letters, the group will say the letter that was rolled. The same goes for numbers, shapes, colors, etc.

Karen,do you make a dice for the pet dice game???not understanding this
Cheryl, you can use these cards in “pocket dice”, which you can see in the pictures above (links go to the product on Amazon). If you don’t want to buy pocket dice, you could attach the cards to a small cardboard box.
