Bugs in the Sensory Table

Back in September, when my class did a unit on Bugs, we did this Bugs Sensory Table activity.

Bugs Sensory Table

I added about 3 bags of green Easter grass to the sensory table, and hid plastic ladybugs and ants in the grass. Each child at the sensory table used a pair of tweezers and a bug box. They searched through the grass to find the bugs, picked them up with tweezers, and placed them in their bug box.

It’s obvious that you are a very creative and dedicated teacher! The teaching profession needs more people like you to help inspire children! I love your ideas and I’ve used several of them. You’re making a difference not only in children’s lives but in the lives of the teachers you inspire!

    Karin

Thanks so much for sharing all your creative ideas with us! I have been teaching grade R for 30 years and with every theme I am so excited to see new ideas I can try in my class. We are doing the bugs theme this week and I can’t wait to see there faces when they work at the sensory table looking to find the bugs.

    Thank you so much!!
