Purchase some rainbow colored fabric (get remnants whenever possible) and cut the fabric into pieces about the size to fit on a brown paper lunch bag. Have the children glue the rainbow fabric onto the puppet for Joseph’s coat and draw his facial features and hair with markers.
An alternative to fabric: Cut colored construction paper into strips to glue on the bag.
