“I Thank God” Printable Books
This printable book is black and white book so that it can be copied for children to have their own little book. You can use all of the pages or choose the pages you like best.

Cornucopia Craft
To make this craft, children will cut out the food pictures (if age appropriate) and glue them onto the cornucopia. Each fruit or veggie has a word with something to be thankful for, such as God, home, food, friends, and family. If your group of children are not able to cut out the pictures, have adult volunteers do the cutting in advance.
Either copy the pages onto colored paper or have children color the pictures.

If you choose to have children color the food pictures themselves, copy this sheet. There are two per page. Just cut it in half for two children.

If you choose to copy the food pictures onto colored paper, use these pages. Copy the pumpkin on orange paper, the apple on red paper, the pear on green paper, the orange on orange paper, and the grapes on purple paper. Have volunteers cut out the pictures in advance and have children glue their food onto the cornucopia.
Thankful Wreath Craft
To prepare this activity, download the printable and make copies of the pumpkin and leaf cutouts for each child. Each leaf has a picture and word of something to be thankful for, such as family, home, Jesus, church, and so on. The pumpkin “I am thankful for” cutout has 4 per page, and you will only need one per child. Cut out the center of an uncoated paper plate to make the wreath for each child.

This craft will probably take more than one day to complete (this is what I recommend so that children don’t get tired or bored with the activity). This craft will work for older children (first grade or second grade) to do by themselves, but for preschoolers, they will need some help as well as extra time.

Have children either color the pumpkin and the leaves or copy them onto colored paper. Depending on the children’s abilities, you can either have them cutout the leaves and pumpkin, or have volunteers cut them out. Then have children glue the pumpkin to the top of the paper plate wreath and glue the leaves around the wreath.
You could have children color the leaves one day, have volunteers cut the leaves after hours, then another day have children glue the leaves on the wreath another day.

Thanksgiving Placemat
Print out this placemat sheet and have children draw pictures of favorite foods on the plate. Another idea is to have children cut out pictures of food from grocery store ads and glue them on the plate. The placemat has a Bible verse at the top: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.”
