These Spring-themed pocket charts help children practice problem-solving along with math skills and literacy skills. These are about a 5-minute Large Group activity that introduces young children to story problems. You can extend these by changing the numbers, and doing them again. To prepare them, just print, laminate, and cut.
Point to the words in a left-to-right direction as you read to the children. Ask children to identify the numerals. The leader of the day can help put the clipart pieces in the chart. If you like these, check out the Winter pocket charts and Fall pocket charts.
