Here is a new set to add to the Picture-Word Cards collection. This set goes with my Community Theme, which I’m doing with my class this month.
I use these cards in a pocket chart in my writing center. You can also use them on a word wall, or hook them together on a binder ring to make a picture dictionary. Use the blank set to write words in other languages or other writing styles (e.g. D’Nealian), or use them for modeled writing activities.
Future sets of word cards will include: Shapes, Weather, Bugs, Pond Animals, Spring (or Easter?), Foods, Kitchen Items. If you have a “wish” for a particular word card set, just contact me to let me know, and I’ll add it to the to-do list. It sometimes depends on the photos or clipart that are available, but I will do my best.

I am so thankful for your website. I tried to open the community helper picture word cards but nothing comes up but the transportation word cards do work.
They are both working for me. You may need to just wait a bit to let them load. If that doesn’t work, try updating your Adobe Reader. Hope that helps!
