To make this symmetry science center activity, I taped two unbreakable mirrors together and stood them up on the shelf. Children place pattern blocks in front of the mirrors to make repeated symmetical designs.

You can find thick, poster-board type material that has a reflective surface on one side at Hobby Lobby.
