Writing Instruments
These are sorted by color in clear cups: Flair pens, thin Crayola markers, Crayola Twistables colored pencils.

Name Cards
Each child's name is written on a card with their photo, and place in the pocket chart which hangs on the side of the writing center.
Word Cards
Cards are grouped by topic on rings: clothing, nature, vehicles, food, animals, shapes, colors, numbers. These cards hang on hooks on the side of the writing center. Children like to copy words from the word cards.
Stamps
Magna Doodles
We have special cards that fit on these Magna Doodles for children to trace letters. These came from Lakeshore.
Fantasy Pens
The children like to write with pens shaped like dinosaurs, lizards, snakes, alligators.
Write the Room
We have clipboards available that children can use to carry around with them if they want to write things they see around the room.
