    Hello Karen Cox,
I want to thank you for all the ideas you have given me, most especially the getting to know you book of pictures. I love it!!!!!!
As a pre-k teacher for over 20 years, I know that learning new things is the most important thing a teacher can do, one never stops learning new things when one is a teacher. Thank you so very much, and God bless. Yours Truly, Raquel Castro

These are some great ideas! Coming up with fun, interactive ways for children to get to know each other is much more relaxing than having to go around the room and say your name in front of everyone. Games have a way of easing the tension, especially for children who are just getting to know each other!

I especially like the bean bag toss and it’s great to incorporate it with favorite ice cream flavor! Children will remember this about one another for sure!

I will begin my first year of teaching at the age of 44 in August and I am so excited to be teaching PreK4. I have to admit that I am nervious, but happy that my dream job is finally coming to reality! Thanks for this site for helping teachers like me, who are beginners to succeed and excel in this field.
