~ Ideas for learning about Fall/ Autumn ~
Since the activities on the Fall page were mostly repetitive of the activities on other theme pages, I have decided to just provide links to Fall themes:

Below are a few extra ideas for Fall that are not on another theme page:
Fall Science Center Display: Gourds
Children sort the gourds into the baskets by texture: bumpy or smooth.
Gourd Paintings
Children chose real gourds that they wanted to paint. They first drew an outline with a fine-point black ink pen, then chose the hues of paint that matched their gourd, and painted them on their paper.
What Color Leaves?
During one of our group discussions, we made this chart to record our predictions of what colors the leaves might be in the Fall. All during the year, we observe and draw a pear tree at our school to watch the changes through the seasons. Our first pear tree drawing is done in the Summer (August) when the leaves are green, and we made this chart then while discussing what we thought would happen.
