School is out for the summer now, but a few days before, we had water day. Some people on Facebook were asking what we did, so here are some pictures. This was the first time I’ve ever done Water Day at school. I had tried to plan it a few times, but the weather always ended up turning too cool… in Georgia… in May… which is crazy.
We had a wading pool and some beach balls. The kids said it was for babies, but that didn’t stop them from playing in it.

We had two water tables like this with boats, buckets, and containers. The kids decided the buckets were perfect for dumping water all over their teachers. I had bought some big water squirters (not water guns) at the Dollar Tree, which the kids used to soak us also, but we were armed with one as well, and got them back. Good thing I had extra clothes (reminder: next year, don’t forget the towel).

We were fortunate enough to have a parent bring this awesome inflatable water slide. This was the big hit of the day. We probably won’t be so lucky next year.

We also washed cots. The kids scrubbed them down with non-menthol shaving cream, and we sprayed them off with the water hose. While we were at it, we sprayed the kids down, too. Pay back time! There were lots of happy squeals and laughter.

We couldn’t have done it without the help of some great parents! They set it up for us and brought some of the water toys, including a sprinkler.

That slide is too cool! It looks like the kids had a blast! Time for some summer fun…
thanks, Vanessa!
